...I'm falling in love with you...

Arghhh...my whole body was aching during the weekend. After 2 months break from FF, I finally started back my gym on Saturday. I walked on the treadmill for 1 hour. Besides the body aching, I do feel good after the exercise...I feel fresh. :)

I just came back from Kota Kinabalu last Thursday. It was a short trip but it was fun. I went to KK with 2 friends, Jenny & Rehan. We went on Tuesday early morning. Our flight was at 7 am, but since this is our first time boarding at LCC Terminal, so we didn't want to take the risk of arriving late at the airport. So we took the first Sky Bus from KL Sentral - LCC Terminal at 3.10 am. The bus was full. Hehehe....I'm guess a lot of them must be thinking like us. Don't want to miss the flight so might as well take the earliest bus available.

We arrived at LCC-Terminal at about 4.20 am. The terminal was already quite full with people. There's people sitting down on the benches and sleeping at every corner of the terminal. There are not many chairs and benches for us to sit though. We wanted to check-in but since it's still too early and our check-in counter was not even opened yet, we ended up having breakfast at Mc Donalds. We checked-in at about 5.30 am. The flight was delayed for 5 minutes. We arrived at Terminal 2, KK at 9.35 am and Sandra was already waiting to fetch us to the hotel. We stayed at Beverly Hotel.

After checking in, we had our early lunch at the hotel. After refreshing ourselves, we went out to the Filipino Market. It's the most well knownmust-go place among locals and tourist in KK town. There are all kinds of handicrafts over there and also there were Sabah pearls, dried and salted fishes and prawns and also the all sorts of biscuits. (Biskut cincin and amplang are among them.)

After visiting the Filipino Market, we went to see pearls at the hotel lobby. I bought most of my pearls there...coz in the Filipino Market there were too many pearls until I don't know which one to buy. That evening we just spend time at the hotel pool and we went out later to buy food stuff for our picnic the next day.

The next day, after breakfast, we went to Manukan Island. It's a 20-mins speed boat ride. The sceneries of the ocean and the island during the boat ride were simply marvelous. It's so beautiful. I just can't take my eyes away from the ocean throughout the boat ride. We stopped by at Mamutik Island to drop 2 tourists that was in the same boat with us on our way to Manukan Island. Info on Mamutik Island can be found here and here.

Mamutik Island is just next to Manukan Island. Both of the islands are among the 5 islands in the Tunku Abd Rahman Park. When we reached the Manukan Island, the view was simply amazing... Wow! Looking at the deep blue sea made me go ooohhh and aahhh... I just love the view, sound and feelings of the sea. The water was so crystal clear and we could see the fishes in the sea. We fed the fishes with bread and the all came to us. There's a pavement for us to have a closer view of the fishes. Occasionallywe could feel the fishes bite our legs. Scary but nice... hehe. We stayed at the beach till 4 pm. I wish we could stay longer... I do hope to come back to the island and I do hope that I can go to the other islands as well soon.

That night, we had seafood for dinner at this restaurant about 30 minutes drive from KK. It's nice. I like the Sabah vege...don't know the name though but I love it. The next morning, after our breakfast, we left KK on the 9.55 am Air Asia flight. It was a short trip but really enjoyable.

Sabah...we will definitely come back to visit you. Sabah...I'm falling in love with you...
